My friend is in college and I would like to buy her a program I know she wants, but I am not a student so would it be legal for me to buy the Academic version for her? Or can she only buy it?

I have created basic websites using Front page Express, but want to try to start creating more for small businesses, making them look more effective and engaging, is Dreamweaver 8 the best software to buy for this, or do you think they will bring out anything better in the near future?

But what kind of laptop would work best? I already have a gateway desktop with windows XP. Is there possibly just some software I could buy and load on to my computer that will do the trick? This is a very important project I will spend a year working on, so I want the quality to be up to par. Thanks!

Like Virus software and computer programs like Microsoft Word, not CD’s or DVD’s.

My notebook’s CD drive doesn’t work anymore for some reason, and since I currently have Norton Anti-Virus software installed I’m scared that when it expires, in August, I won’t be able to buy any virus software for my computer anymore since it can’t play any tipe of discs anymore.

Can external disc drives play computer software? And the ones that can, how much do they cost, if they exist?

I keep receiving emails from various Hotmail addresses (fake Hotmail addresses! I am pretty sure, but this fact helps describe the particular spammer’s tactics); the subject line usually has variations on the words, "software", "download", and "discount"; the words are often misspelled to avoid spam checking methods. The actual link in the email usually has nothing to do with software downloads. In the past 4 months (Feb 4th to June 8th, 2010), I have received over 80 emails which are definitely from the same spammer and fit this description; Yahoo delivered some of them directly to my Spam/Bulk mail folder; others ended up in my Inbox: I used Yahoo’s spam reporting method (which could use some improvement) to report the emails that ended up in my Inbox.
